AGE: 87 • Berkeley Twsp., NJ

Patricia Ghilardi (nee Gaston), age 87, of Holiday City West, Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 after fighting a courageous battle.

She grew up in West New York, NJ, moved to Little Ferry, NJ to raise her family before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1996.

Patricia retired from Sultan Chemists in Englewood, NJ.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Toms River, and was a member of the church's Rosary Altar Society.

Patricia was also a member of the Holiday City Berkeley Woman's Club, Bocce Team, Shuffleboard Team, the Ya Ya Girls and the Breakfast Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Ghilardi, in 1998 and her daughter Patricia Norton in 2013.

Patricia is survived by her children and their spouses Nancy Ghilardi and Belinda Venancio of Perkasie, PA, Gail Cree and Doug Halpern of Wyckoff, NJ, Glenn and Sue Ghilardi of Little Ferry, NJ and her son in law Michael Norton of Manasquan, NJ, her brother Edward Gaston and his partner Maureen Boyce of Seaside Park, NJ, her grandchildren Sarah, Emily and her husband Kiel, Jenna, Lucas, Jesse, Lydia and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be offered Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's RC Church, Toms River. Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd, Toms River is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the or Memorial Sloan Kettering - Research Program.
