AGE: 75 • Whiting

Patricia Jacqueline (Gorham) Santanello, Died on January 6, 2017. She was born on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1941 in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Dumont High School and with honors from Ocean County College. She worked as an analyst for CentraState Healthcare System for 24 years. She administered the computer help desk and provided computer training and support for the entire system. She taught computer classes for Toms River Community Adult School for 12 years and had her own consulting business, Double Click Computer Services.

Mrs. Santanello was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and served as a Eucharistic Minister from 1977 to the present, most recently doing home visits to homebound parishioners. She and her husband Frank were founding contributors of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church in Toms River and sponsors of the Festival of the Atlantic, Pt. Pleasant Beach. She was a Past Regent of Court Ascension #1323, Catholic Daughters of America, member of the Red Hat Society, the Toms River Garden Club, and the Ocean County Artists Guild. She supported Center Players in Freehold. Pat was a certified Master Gardener and worked extensively with that program. Gardening was always a passion with her and her neighbors loved her flowers, especially the peonies. She was an incessant reader and she coordinated a book discussion for many years. In summer she loved sitting on her back porch, reading and listening to music and to the fountain in her pond. She took many interesting day trips in the tri-state area, traveled abroad and attended concerts and plays. She loved her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed family get-togethers.

Mrs. Santanello was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Gorham. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank, after 45 years of marriage in 2004. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Frank and Paula, Bowie, Maryland, Robert Alan and Joan, Pt. Pleasant Beach, Jeffrey Stephen and Pattie Ann, Allentown, ten grandchildren, Miranda Mellin and Stephen Schermerhorn, Sean, Dylan, and Erin Santanello, Zachary and Valerie Santanello, Nicole Keller, Jacob and Travis Megill, three great-grandchildren, Rhily Madison Santanello, Aidan and Colin Mellin, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kenneth Gorham of Granada Hills, California, and Dr. and Mrs. R. Wilson Gorham of Annandale, Virginia. She has a brother-in-law, Joseph Santanello and his wife Barbara, Palm Harbor, Florida and dearest sister-in-law and closest friend, Frances Sauta, Manchester. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 12, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, January 13, at 10:45am from the All Saints Chapel at St Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting. Committal will be private. In Lieu of Flowers the family respectfully request considering a donation to the 2600 Us Highway 1 North Brunswick , NJ 08902 Arrangements under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Whiting, NJ.
