AGE: 96 • Lakewood

Pauline Johnson died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at The Pines at Whiting. She was 96.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, raised in Erlton section of Cherry Hill NJ, she resided in Lakewood NJ for 64 years before settling in Whiting 6 years ago. She was a homemaker and provided a wonderful environment for her husband and 4 boys. She was an avid cook and baker with her sons all in agreement that no one ate better than they did. She had several hobbies: knitting and restoring furniture caning chairs, to name a few. She loved to entertain, was active in social clubs and loved a game of chance. She was employed for a time at Air Cruisers of Farmingdale and Wheaton Plastics of Lakewood. These employments provided her with opportunity to make many new friends which was a trademark of her personality; she loved people and they loved her.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Everett of 33 years.

She is predeceased by her parents Paul and Kati Weiss of Marlton NJ, Brothers; William J. (Bill) Lambert of Jackson, NJ Steve Weiss of Virginia Beach VA. Paul Weiss of Berlin, NJ and a sister Ann Townley of Seaford DE, a step son Charles Johnson of Jackson NJ, and 2 step daughters Janice Applegate of Jackson NJ and Jean (Sug) Strout of Brick NJ.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are her sons: Everett Johnson of Toms River NJ, Paul Robert Johnson and his wife Joann of Sea Girt NJ, Clifford Johnson and his wife Jeanie, of Jackson NJ and Christopher Johnson and his wife Kathi of Egg Harbor Township, a step son Richard A. Johnson of Sahuarita AZ. and brothers John Weiss and his wife Mary of Marlton NJ and Frank Weiss and his wife Marylou of Shamong NJ. In addition; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gather will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 2-4PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. A memorial service will be held in conjunction with the gathering at 4PM. Internment is private.
