AGE: 82 • Toms River

Philip J. Paciulli passed away on Friday, January 6th, 2017 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He was born in Hackensack, New Jersey and lived in Garfield and Passaic. He went to Garfield High School. Philip was a member of the United States Armed Forces and served in the United States Army.

After moving to Toms River, New Jersey in 1963, he was employed by the United States Postal Service. Sports were a big part of Philip's life, coaching at Toms River East Little League for 32 years with his coaching buddies Frank Dolce, Tom Renkin, and many others. He also coached Pop Warner football for the Saint Joseph's Angels and the Toms River Raiders. He devoted much of his time to his players teaching them how to play the game…..THE RIGHT WAY! His life rules of thumb were: Family, Schooling, Country, Team, and Always Respect for Others.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Eleanor (nee) Glita, daughter Robyn Paciulli Griffith and fiancé Joe D'Ambro, son Philip and wife Michele, son Michael and wife Traci. He is also survived by his loved grandchildren Chris Griffith, Philip Griffith, Catlyn Griffith, Courtney Paciulli, Brooke Paciulli, Brendan Paciulli, and Ben Sluka, his sister Dolores Sarracino, brothers Nicholas and John plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Paciulli and mother Concetta (Ingrassia) Paciulli.

The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8pm and Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A funeral service will be offered Monday 8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place Tuesday 11:00am at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ. Please arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Philip's name to the Toms River East Little League, 2195 Windsor Avenue, Toms River, New Jersey 08753.
