Raymond V. Hendrickson, Sr.

AGE: 83 • Cream Ridge

Raymond V. Hendrickson, Sr., 83 of Cream Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home. Born in Freehold, he resided in Smithburg before moving to Cream Ridge after his marriage in 1970. A U.S. Army veteran, Raymond worked as a heavy equipment operator for Stavola Construction Materials, Inc. in Bound Brook, NJ, retiring in 2004 after 32 years of service. Raymond was very proud of his involvement in the Masonic Organization and was a member of Olive Branch Lodge #16 F&AM in Freehold, the Valley of Central Jersey Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in Bordentown and the Crescent Shriners, entering in the same class as Buzz Aldrin. He was also active with the WWII Museum and AMVETS. In his free time, Raymond enjoyed gardening, watching/attending NASCAR and was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Son of the late Ewing and Dorothy Hendrickson, he is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara A. Hendrickson; his son and daughter-in-law, Raymond II and Nicole Hendrickson; his sister, Kathryn Cole and nephew William Cole.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Saturday, March 18th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Friends may call Friday from 6-9pm and again Saturday from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or to the Masonic Charity Foundation of NJ, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016.
