AGE: 73 • Whiting

Richard Forker, 73, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born in Trenton, he was a longtime Whiting resident. Richard worked as a machinist for Yates Industries in Bordentown, retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service. He was an avid target shooter and was a member of Fort Dix Gun Club and the Shooters in Tuckerton. A talented artist, Richard enjoyed painting and photography. Above all, he adored his grandchildren and the time he spent with them.

Son of the late Harry and Edith Haverstraw Forker, he is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Forker; his son and daughter-in-law; Harry and Patricia Ellen Forker of Browns Mills; his daughters, Sheri Lynn Forker of Whiting and Jane Pastore of Jackson; his grandchildren, Harry Richard, Sarah, Sakar and Levlohet Forker and Amanda, Anthony, Michelle and Nichole Pastore; his great grandson, Richard Harry Forker; sisters, Joan Moore of Trenton and Elizabeth Ann Forker of Whiting as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Tuesday, August 8th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Toms River. Friends may call Monday from 6-8pm and again Tuesday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
