AGE: 95 • Burlington, VT

May 26, 2017, Robert "Bob" Brunet, 95, devoted husband of Mary, loving father of Dawn, older brother of Barrie, stepfather of Andrew, Scott, Susan and Amy and son of Fred and Faye Brunet, passed away peacefully at his residence at The Converse Home in Burlington, VT.

Visitation and a Funeral Mass were held in Burlington, with Interment Services to be conducted at 11 a.m. this Sat, July 22 at St. Catherine's Cemetery Mausoleum in Spring Lake.

Bob was born and raised on December 6, 1921 in Scobey, MT. After serving in the US Army during WW II and completing his education, Bob worked as Title Examiner/Officer for the Lawyers Title Insurance Corp. of Freehold and was elected County Clerk for Wall Township. Bob also was known as the classiest jazz pianist on the Jersey shore, while serving as treasurer for the local music union in Asbury Park, collecting dues from Bruce Springsteen among other members. After retiring, Bob and Mary moved to Burlington, where Bob performed gratis at appreciative Senior Centers.

He is survived by Mary, his wife of 27 years, his brother, Barrie of Rancho Mirage, CA, his daughter, Dawn Meixner (Gunther) of Dana Point, CA, stepchildren: Andrew Strenio, Jr. (Judith), Scott Strenio (Cheryl), Susan Stewart (Arthur) and Amy Gloeckner (Jim) of Bethesda, MD, Burlington, VT, Warren, PA and Evans City, PA and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Tove Brunet.
