Robert (Bob) Paul Cosentino, Sr.

AGE: 89 • West Long Branch

Robert (Bob) Paul Cosentino, Sr., age 89 of West Long Branch, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Friday, October 23, 2015. Bob was a graduate of Long Branch High School, class of 1943. After high school, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard and later was employed as a milkman for Sheffield Farms and Pleasant Valley Farms. His other work endeavors included Little Silver Electric, Hartford Insurance, and his most cherished position was a starter at Old Orchard Country Club.

Bob was a resident of West Long Branch where he served as a Fireman and Little League Coach. He was an avid golfer with a passion for painting and taking trips to Atlantic City. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Yankees. Even more, he enjoyed going to watch his children and grandchildren play in many different sporting events.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Farina) Cosentino in 2012; his parents, Paul and Grace Cosentino; 3 brothers, Carmen, George and Joseph; and two sisters, Jennie and Catherine. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy McConville and her husband Pat of Monmouth Beach; his son and daughter-in-law Bob Cosentino and his wife Mary of West Long Branch; his grandchildren, Meghan and Ryan Haynes; Kristin and Sean McKenna; Katie, Jenna, and Matthew Cosentino; great grandchildren, Emma and Kellen Haynes and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 2-6 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. Funeral Monday, 9:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Jerome R.C. Church, West Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Long Branch First Aid, P.O. Box 197, West Long Branch, NJ 07764.
