He has been an Elder in the Presbyterian Church since 1956.

The greatest and most meaningful joy of his life was his family - his beloved wife of 75 years, Dorothy, and his devoted children, daughters Carol and Linda, and son Bill. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his three children and their spouses, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
