AGE: 91 • Spring Lake heights

Rosemary O'Hara Volpe peacefully joined her lord on June 11, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Rosemary was born July 7, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, and was the youngest of seven children born to William and Margaret Murray O'Hara. Rosemary will now rest with her pre-deceased and loving husband of 59 years, Joseph C. Volpe. She is predeceased by her siblings, and sister-in-law Rose M Volpe and brother-in-law Alphonse Volpe of Woodside, NY. Rosemary was a loving and proud mother and leaves behind 6 children: Rosemary Dube (Richard), sons Charles (Jane), Joseph (Kim), David, Philip (Laurie) and John (Kim), 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Rosemary also leaves behind her sister-in-law Catherine Volpe and a plethora of loving nieces and nephews as she was the family matriarch for over 70 kin.

Rosemary grew up in Brooklyn, graduated from Notre Dame College, Staten Island, and spent much of her life in Scotch Plains, New Smyrna Beach, FL and recently enjoyed three years at the Arbors in Spring Lake Heights. Her life revolved around her faith, family and friends. For many years Rosemary was involved in many forms of volunteering at Immaculate Heart of Mary and Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains.

She was an excellent bridge player and avid reader. Rosemary and Joe were very good ballroom dancers. Rosemary, a mother and friend to all who met her, leaves behind many endearing friends in Scotch Plains, New Smyrna Beach and the Arbors.
