AGE: 88 • Bayville

Salvatore M. Puccio, 88, of Bayville, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, he lived many years in Union before moving to Bayville in 1994. Mr. Puccio was a butcher by trade for 70 years. He started in his Aunt Josie's Butcher Shop in Newark when he was eleven years old. He was a communicant of St. Barnabas Church, Bayville and served as church usher. He also was very active in the community calling bingo games and serving on his landscape committee for many years. He sang in his local choir and took part in group holiday productions. Sal was a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. He is predeceased by his four sisters', Fay Lopez, Tina Ferro, Mary Sedita and Josephine Petronella.

Surviving are; his wife of 66 years, Rachele; three children, Anthony Puccio and his wife Susan, Kathleen Lorusso and her husband Larry and Diane Delabar; his brother Nick, brother-in-law John Lopez, and sisters-in-law Maryann Marinello and Patricia Rotondo; five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Brian, Amy and David; also, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, Dec. 13th, from 3pm to 7pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Wednesday, 10am in the funeral home before celebrating a 11am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, Bayville. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sal's memory to; Compassionate Care Hospice, (, would be appreciated.
