Sandra G. Butz

Sandra G. Butz passed away May 27, 2017, a victim of Alzheimer's disease. She was born January 11, 1942, in Minnesota. She moved with her family to southern Ocean County when she was 8 years old and resided there for the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Southern Regional High School and attended Wittenberg University in Ohio. In her early adult years, she owned and operated a fuel oil business, she became a principal owner of the New Gretna House Bar and Restaurant. After selling her interest in that business, she became a licensed Real Estate Broker and spent the remainder of her business career with BayShore Real Estate Agency in Little Egg Harbor. Sandra was a renowned breeder of championship Labrador Retrievers, and in 1979 her champion retriever Tory won Best of Breed at the Westminster Dog Show in Madison Square Garden.

She was predeceased by her father Karl Graham and her mother Ester Goman, her brother Neil Graham and her son Anthony Troy Godfrey, who died May 14, 2017. She is survived by her husband Thomas Butz, her son Andrew Trent Godfrey and his fiancé Jacqueline Dell, her sister Terry Lewis and her husband Rev. Robert Lewis, her grandchildren Andrew Godfrey, Adam Godfrey and his wife Meagan, Sarah Godfrey, her stepson David Butz and his wife Mary, stepson Richard Butz and his wife Susan, her stepdaughter Susie Maier and her husband Norbert Maier, her step-grandchildren Thomas Butz and Jack Butz, Carlie Butz and Owen Butz, and Jake Maier and Ryann Maier, and by her great-grandchildren Aria Godfrey and Harper Quinn Godfrey.

A Memorial service will be held at Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the , NJ Chapter, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053
