Freehold - Shirley Wittenburg, 85 of Freehold, NJ passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2018. Born on June 5, 1932, and raised in Brockway PA later to raise her family in Lakewood, NJ where she resided for 52 years.

Shirley retired from Acme Markets in Princeton NJ after 32 years as a floral designer, then after became a school bus aide for Jackson Township, NJ. During her retirement she loved to spend her days at Good Luck Point Marina enjoying life with her friends on the boat, or enjoying her new home. She loved cooking, gardening, and spending time in Atlantic City to play her favorite Triple 7 machine.

Predeceased by her parents Richard and Frances Morris and her husband of 30 years, Richard Wittenburg. Survived by the man she loved for the last 18 years, Ed Balinski and his son Mark. Shirley was the mother of seven children. Predeceased by her daughters Cheryl and Shirley Wittenburg and son Roger Lindemuth. Survived by Rick Wittenburg, Dawn Messer, Barbara Hauff, and Larry Lindemuth along with her beloved 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Shirley was such a beautiful, strong person who was so young at 85. She will be forever loved and missed dearly.

Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 22, at 2 p.m. at Forked River Baptist Church, 21 Haines Street, Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08731.
