Born in Kansas City, Missouri, May 29, 1940, born to Calvin and Adelle Wohlert, went home to God on July 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving children. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Eileen, of 35 years; his twin brother, Roger Wohlert and his wife Carrie; his 5 loving children, John Wohlert, Peggy and Robert Cadmus, Steven, Jr. and Walda Wohlert, Kevin and Lisa Wohlert, Larissa and Peter Dixon. His 10 grandchildren, Adam Cadmus, Harley Stanley, Lindsay and Mark Austin, Danielle and Charles Wohlert, Hannah and Meghan Dixon, Devyn and Daryl Giannone; his 2 great-grandchildren, Maisy and Arlo Henry Austin, his sister-in-law's Rita Nagle and Mary Melega and many nieces, nephews and extended friends.

Steven was ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate on June 5, 1999 and served faithfully at St. Anselm Parish. Steven worked for over 40 years for Union Carbide, Energizer, and Ralston Purina, was former President of the Board of Education in Ocean Township, NJ and Ridgefield, CT., Board President of the Haven House in Creve Coeur, Mo., and served as a Chaplain at St. Luke's Hospital Chesterfield, Mo.

Visitation at the ORTMANN STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO, Sunday, July 23rd, 4-8 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Louis Abbey at St. Anselm Parish on Monday, July 24th, 11 a.m. Graveside Service at St. Catharine Cemetery, Spring Lake, NJ on July 29th at 10am. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anselm Parish, Office of the Diaconate, Haven House, or masses.
