Freehold - Sue Ann Marriner, 74, of Freehold died on Monday, January 1, 2018 at home. She was born in Neptune Township and resided in Freehold all her life.

She was a critical care registered nurse at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank for 26 years before her retirement eight years ago. She was chairperson of the hospital's Pharmacy Liaison Committee and a volunteer at the Parker Family Clinic.

She was a graduate of Brookdale Community College Nursing Program and a member of the American Nurses Association and the Critical Care Nurses Association.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.

Sue Ann was passionate about helping others both in and out of the hospital. Sue Ann was a special individual. To friends and family, she would go above and beyond to provide help and support whenever needed.

Sue enjoyed working with all crafts, taking care of her house and yard, spending time with her daughter and grandkids, and traveling with friends and family.

Surviving are; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and T.J. Magliozzo; a son, Mark T. Marriner; a brother, Ronald Updyke; a sister, Linda Harding; three grandchildren, T.J. Jr., Nicholas, and Isabella Magliozzo; a nephew, Steven Glatzer; and a niece, Denise Eckert and her husband Keith; great nephews, Ryan and Jackson; and a grandniece, Sarah.

The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center would be appreciated.
