Susan Luskey

Carteret - Susan Luskey 69, of Carteret, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at home. She was born in Jersey City and was a life-long resident of Carteret. Susan retired from the Carteret Board of Education as a Para-Professional after 20 years of service. She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Marie Sanfilippo; sons, Michael R. and Christopher J. Luskey; and her brother, Robert Sanfilippo.

Susan is survived by her husband, Michael J. Luskey; daughter, Jenna Bernardino and her husband, Trinidad; grandchildren, Jaclyn, Trinity, Dylan and Gabriella; sisters, Linda Ivanitski of Texas and Laura Denton and her husband, Ricky of Carteret; godson, Sean Denton; nieces, Kaitlyn and Amy; nephew, Lee and many close relatives and friends. Private services were held under the care of Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave. in Carteret.

This is a rough life. I always enjoyed working with her in the high school and got along well with her oldest son who passed away two years ago. I am very sorry to see this but at least we take solace in the fact she is reunited with her sons.
