Teresa J. Cholowinski

Neptune - Teresa J. Cholowinski a lifelong resident of Neptune passed away at Hackensack Meridian Hospital on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born to Phildoro and Mary Paternoster on September 15, 1930 in Neptune. She graduated Neptune High School in 1948. She married the late Alfred Cholowinski in 1953. Together they had four children Donna Gordon (Keith) of Belmar, Gail Rogers of Plantation FL, Robert Cholowinski of Neptune and John Cholowinski (Ramona) of Farmingdale. Teresa leaves behind her sister Peggy Diglio of Neptune, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She is survived by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother John Paternoster (Ann), and brothers in law Robert Cholowinski and Jerry Diglio and nephew Ricky Trout.

Teresa was employed as Deli Manager for many years at Foodtown and after retirement she worked at Interfaith Neighbors in the Meals on Wheels Program. She loved to spend time in the kitchen making her family's most requested meal of meatballs and "poor man's lasagna." She and her family enjoyed sitting around the table listening to old stories and laughing. Ranny, as she was known to her grandchildren, told the monkey joke like no other. Always up for an adventure, Teresa traveled extensively. Paris was her favorite city of all. She loved the theater, art, and music. She looked forward to the spring time so she could watch baseball, she was an avid Mets fan. On weekends she could be seen scouring the area for treasures at her beloved yard sales.

Interment is private at Brigadier General William C Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ for the family only.
