Thomas N. Limozinere

Howell Township - Thomas N. Limozinere, 87, of Howell Township, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home. He was born in Englewood.

He was a standout high school football player at St. Cecilia's High School and Emerson High School and attended Erskine College in South Carolina. During his time in the U.S. Navy he was a renowned boxer. Following his military service, he went on to become a professional boxer.

He served aboard the USS Leyte (CV 32) during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Cliffside Park Men's Club.

He was employed at Maxwell House Coffee, Hoboken and later worked as an iron worker with Local No. 11.

He was predeceased by a brother, Frank.

Surviving are a son, Thomas S. Limozinere; and two grandchildren, Tom Ryan Limozinere and Nina Limozinere.

The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Donations in his memory to the , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
