AGE: 96 • Toms River

Vincent C. Badala left this earthly place to join his two sisters, and parents in eternal life on September 19th, 2017. He was born in Newark, NJ to Louisa (Lanzarone) and Joseph Badala in 1921. He remained in Newark until his service in the Armed Forces, serving in the War in Manila, Philippines WWII. Upon returning home, meeting and marrying Theresa (Tess) Criscitiello on April 20th, 1947, a blessed marriage of 70 years. His life's work was that of a Lathe Hand Machinist, but often enjoyed tinkering in his workshop investing his efforts in his home in Fanwood, NJ; residing there for nearly 40 years before moving to Toms River at Greenbriar Woodlands for the "Golden Years." Predeceasing him are his parents; Louisa and Joseph Badala; sister, Rosalie; and sister, Camille Perrone. Surviving him are his wife, Tess (Criscitiello); son, Joseph Badala and wife, Patricia, with their family, Joe Badala, Jr., John Badala and fiancée, Jillian Murphy; Genevieve Isolda, and husband, Paul and great-granddaughter, Mia Isolda; and his daughter Eloise (Badala) Biniek and husband, Stanley and their family, Lisa Biniek, and Sandra Miller and husband, Michael with great-grandchildren, Jack and Tessa Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Ascend Hospice, 65 Jackson Drive, Suite 103, Cranford, NJ 07016. Reposing will be at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River, NJ with visitation Thursday Sept. 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. There will be a Mass for Christian Burial held at the family parish of St. Luke's Church, on Church Road, Toms River at 10:30 A.M. Friday morning, Sept. 22, 2017 and interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Kenilworth, NJ immediately following. www.silvertonmemorial.com.
