Walter J. Graetz

Spring Lake Heights - Walter J. Graetz, 75, of Spring Lake Heights, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in New York City, he has lived in Spring Lake Heights for most of his life.

Mr. Graetz was an Electrician / Owner of Como Electric in Spring Lake Heights for 55 years before retiring in 2016. He served in The United States Army National Guard and was a member of Spring Lake Heights Independent Fire Company for 59 years, including being an Ex Chief and former Fire Commissioner. He was a member of the South Monmouth Fire Chiefs Association and the Manasquan Elks.

Mr. Graetz is survived by his wife Donna (née Megill) and is also survived by his daughter Dawn Willever and John Skinner, his son William Graetz and daughter in law Amy Graetz, and three grandsons Logan Willever, Alex and Aidan Graetz. Brianna, John, and Cole Skinner. Also, survived by his brother Karl and sister in law Gladys.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Neary Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Wall Methodist Church Cemetery in Spring Lake Heights.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Roy Walker Scholarship Fund Spring Lake Heights Independent Fire Company. The Wall United Methodists Church or any organization of your choice in memory of Walter Graetz.
