AGE: 89 • Toms River

Warren "Rusty" Boutilier 89 of Toms River died Wednesday November 15 at Green Acres Manor, Toms River. Born in Newark, grew up and raised his family in Union, retiring to Toms River in 1985. He was a police detective for the Township of Union with 30 years of service. He was a member of the PBA Local 69-Union. He was a parishioner and usher at St James Church, Springfield and coached Springfield Little League. He sang in the Lake Ridge Chorus, read veraciously, enjoyed boating, the NY Yankees and spending time with family and friends. Rusty and his wife Doris of 68 years flourished raising their children, traveling and supporting her art throughout their life together. Surviving are his wife Doris, 4 sons, Gregory & partner Bonnie White, Barry & wife Franny, Kevin & partner Jeanne Mackin and Brian & partner Leisa Suchan, 5 grandchildren, David & wife Megan Boutilier, Holly & husband Billy Silvis, Sarah & husband Josh Raeben, Michael & Gabrielle Boutilier and 4 great grandchildren, Max & Brielle Silvis, Cain Boutilier and Emmett Raeben. Visitation is Friday 3-7 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral liturgy is Saturday 9 AM at St Luke Church, Toms River with committal at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River prior to cremation.
