William D. Stevenson, 69, of Bayville, died suddenly at home on February 18, 2017. Born in Camden to the parents of William H., Jr. and Mary Lila on April 21, 1947, William lived in Vincentown and South Jersey. He also lived in Beachwood many years before moving to Bayville. Mr. Stevenson proudly served his country in the US Navy with 20 years of active duty. He did three tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He then retired from military service as an electrician with the US Government at Lakehurst Naval Base for eleven years before fully retiring. William was also active in his community as member of VFW Berkeley Post #9503, DAV Toms River Post #129, Knights of Columbus Toms River Council #4969 and the Lakehurst Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Pat; a son Mark and his wife Khole and three cherished grandchildren, Mason, Alexis and Bethany; a sister Bonnie Myers and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Feb. 23rd, from 2pm to 6pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Services will be celebrated on Friday at 11am in the Whiting Bible Church, 95 Lacey Road, Whiting 08759. Burial will be private at the New Jersey veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory to: Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, (, would be appreciated.
