Cincinnati, OH - William E. Dillingham passed in peace January 12, 2018 at the age of 87 in Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Inez.

Bill was born on May 4, 1930 in Akron, Ohio. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on December 26, 1950, serving in active duty during the Korean Conflict. Bill was proud for serving his country as a Marine and continued to be an active member of the VFW, American Legion and Knights of Columbus throughout his life.

Bill had a successful sheetrock and finishing business in Toms River, NJ for forty years before moving to Cincinnati, OH to live with his youngest daughter. He enjoyed playing golf with his many friends and card games and golf outings with his son in law Greg and his brothers.

Bill will be fondly remembered as a proud patriot and US Marine veteran and as a generous soul who was always willing to help a friend or stranger.

He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Dillingham, Judy Bishop (Greg), sister Mary Giffels of Akron, OH, two grandchildren, Meghan Hanke (Joseph), Patrick Calligan.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM February 16th at St. Joseph's Church in Toms River. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River.
