Mr. William H. S. Greenwood

AGE: 94 • Eatontown

William H. S. Greenwood, 94, a 67 year Eatontown resident, died on May 17, 2017. William was born in Manasquan to Stephen and Caroline (Allen) Greenwood. He was a graduate of Red Bank High School, Class of 1940. After graduation, William proudly served in the US Army during WWII as a radio operator from 1943 to 1946. William was a member, and a former President and Vice President of the Eatontown Board of Education and a member of the Senior Housing Board.

He retired as a salesman from Nabisco after 40 years of dedicated employment. After retirement, he worked for many years driving school buses for Murphy's bus service.

William is predeceased by his parents and by his siblings; Bertha Stryker, Grace Scott, Marge Potter, G. Allen Greenwood and Stephen Greenwood Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Esther "Jean" Wallace Greenwood, children; Sharon J. Princing (Vernon) of Freehold, William H. S. Greenwood Jr. (Karen) of Brick, Patricia R. Green (Robert) of Eatontown and Robert W. Greenwood and Donna of Shrewsbury Twp., grandchildren; Tracy Healey (Sean) , Tiffany Mogila (Jeff), Jacqueline and Sean Greenwood, Evan and Ryan Greenwood, and Michael and Jonathan Green, great-grandchildren; Lauren Healey and Jaxson Mogila and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad St., Eatontown, NJ on Mon., May 22nd from 10am until 11am with a funeral home service at 11am. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
