AGE: 86 • Pawleys Island

William M. Riker 86, of Wicklow Way, Hagley Estates, Pawleys Island, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center.

He was born in Newark, NJ, the son of Helen Krywoaz Riker and William W. Riker.

He moved to Pawleys Island in 1995, from Freehold Twp., NJ, and was retired from the Pabst and Anheuser-Busch brewing companies.

Bill was an active member of the Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church; the Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge #2797, and the Pawleys Island Lions Club where he served as President in 2011-2012 and was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.

Survivors include his wife Ann; daughters, Gail Riker of Hackettstown, NJ, Nancy Riker of Little River, SC, and Janice Riker Wheeler (Scott) of Little River, SC.

Also, Stepchildren, Chris Borup (Jennifer) of Ottawa, Canada, Linda Patel (Subhash) of Wilmington, NC, Chollet Di Gangi (Patrick) of Perriniville, NJ; five grandchildren; seven great grand children; three step grandchildren; one great step granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his first two wives, Joan Balogh Riker and Joan Witzel Riker.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 AM at Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, 4499 Hwy 17 Bypass. Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 with Rev. Frank Holsclaw officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tara Hall Home for Boys, PO Box 995 Georgetown, SC 29442

A reception will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
