William R. Massimino, Sr.

AGE: 87 • Jackson Twp.

passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at home with his family at his side. He was born in Newark, NJ, and had resided in Jackson Twp. for many years.

William retired from JBMDL in Lakehurst, NJ, where he worked in the supply department.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force.

In addition, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

William was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Phillipa Massimino; his Wife, Flora Massimino; his son, Michael Massimino; his brothers, Ernest Massimino, Phillip Massimino and Sam Massimino; and by his Sisters, Josephine Camarato and Grace Chrico. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Bob Gwinnett of Jackson Twp., NJ, and Lisa and Tony Pomponio of Jackson Twp., NJ; his sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Massimino of Jackson Twp., NJ, Brian and Heather Massimino of Jackson Twp., NJ, and William, Jr. and Selena Massimino of Browns Mills, NJ; his grandchildren, Joseph Gwinnett, Brian Massimino, Jr., Anthony Pomponio, Adam Pomponio, Allen Michael Massimino, Maria Massimino, Johnathan Massimino and Alex Massimino; and by his great granddaughter, Noelle Pomponio.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at The George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Ceremony will follow at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in The Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Arneytown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of William to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
