Joan P. (nee) Boutillier Crummy, age 85, of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2014 at her home with her loving and devoted family at her side. Born in Newark she has resided in Parlin for the past 59 years. Mrs. Crummy was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville where she was a former Eucharist Minister and member of St Vincent DePaul Society.

She is predeceased by her daughter Maureen C. Murtha in 1997 and her son Daniel Patrick Crummy in 2002 and 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are her husband of 63 years Andrew Eugene Crummy, her children and their spouses Mary & Brian Lilley of Brick, Eileen Crummy of Cranford, Fr Michael Crummy of Hillsborough, Thomas & Kathy Crummy of Orlando, Joanie & Jim Wickizer of East Windsor, Patricia & Harry McGowan of Clive, Iowa and Kate & Jim DeLucia of Sayreville, her sister Terri Boutillier-Singer of North Carolina, 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Joan's name be made to Elijah's Kitchen in New Brunswick or Our Lady of Victories St. Vincent DePaul Society.
