AGE: 74 • Brick and Melbourne Beach, FL

Louis Michael Ocone, 74 of Brick and Melbourne Beach, FL passed away on Friday April 11 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick with his family by his side. Louis was born and raised in Jersey City, graduated from St Peter's College, Jersey City in 1961. Louis was an army veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a licensed CPA in New York and New Jersey for over 50 years. Louis started his career with Deloitte Haskens and Sells (Deloitte and Touche) from 1961 to 1975. He continued his career in 1975 at Equitable Life (AXA Financial) holding senior officer titles for its Real Estate (New York/Atlanta), Capital Management and Investment subsidiaries until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Louis was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head, a coach and treasurer for South Wall Little League for many years, a volunteer for Bay Head Shores Property Owners Association, and was on the board of the Architectural Committee for St. Andrews Village, Melbourne Beach, FL. He was an avid baseball and football fan and loved his NY Yankees and NY Giants, enjoyed golfing, fishing and boating. He was very proud of his boat "G-Dad", where he shared many fond memories with his family and friends.

Louis was predeceased by his son Michael Ocone; parents Anthony George and Maria Josephine Ocone; a brother Anthony George Ocone Jr.; a sister Madeline Ocone. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Mary Louise (nee Krah) Ocone, his loving children Maria Ocone of Point Pleasant Boro, Anthony Ocone and his wife Jill of Point Pleasant Boro and his daughter-in-law Nicole Ocone of Brick. Louis is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Emily Rose and Nicholas Michael; and a godson Jeffrey McGuire.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday April 16 from 10 am until 11:30 am at Sacred Heart Church 751 Main Avenue (RT 35) Bay Head, NJ 08742. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 am Wednesday April 16 at Sacred Heart Church, Bay Head. Interment will follow at ST. Anne's Cemetery, Wall. Due to the Lenten Season in the Catholic faith flowers will not be accepted in the church, so in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Ocone Children Trust Fund C/O Alice Oliverie-Bank of America 1800 18th Avenue Wall, NJ 07719.
