AGE: 77 • Lincroft

Victoria A. "Vicki" Schiafone, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, after a long illness. Vicki was born in Red Bank to Albert and Emilia (Croce) Ariozzi. She met her beloved husband in junior high and they have been together since high school. She was a devout member of St. Leo the Great R.C. Church and a member of their former St Ann's Society.

Vicki was previously employed by Anderson Brother Moving and Storage Co. as their bookkeeper and then retired from the same position after many years at Blaisdell Lumber in Red Bank.

She is predeceased by her parents, brothers, Frank and Anthony, sisters, Jean Ariozzi and Mary Amato and in February of this year by her daughter, Elizabeth Caffyn. Vicki is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Charles S. Schiafone; her daughter, Kim Kugelman and her husband Alan of Eatontown; brother, John and his wife Annette of Jackson; sister, Nancy O'Callaghan of TX; son-in-law, David Caffyn of Eatontown; brother-in-law, Ted Schiafone and his wife Cheryl of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Rose Wright and her husband Bruce of Walnut Creek, CA; grandchildren, Courtney and David Caffyn and Emily and Max Kugelman; great-grandsons, Jordan and James, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 25 at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery.
