AGE: 79 • Red Bank

Billy Jeff Wynne, 79, passed away in Atlantic City on Sunday, May 4, 2014. He was born in Wortham, TX to the late Jeff Jones and Pearl (Dawson) Wynne and resided in Red Bank since 1967. Bill was a Gunnery Sargent for the US Marines in Pasadena, CA and proudly defended our country in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Combat Valor. He was employed by Davies Brothers in Howell as a manager for the RCA division. Bill loved sports and country music, but more than anything spending time with his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents; his son, Mark Wynne and his grandson, Jack Wynne. Surviving is his wife, Susan M. (Eagan) Wynne; his sons and daughter-in-laws, William Jeffrey and Anita Wynne of Charlotte, NC and Robert D. and Amy Wynne of Salisbury, CT; his daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Frank Linneen of Atlanta, GA; his sister, Nita Cleere of Corsicana, TX and 7 grandchildren, Alyssa, Conor, Mackenzie, Dawson, Derek, Morgan and Emma.

A memorial gathering will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 5-8PM in Bill's honor at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, N.J. Interment will be private.
