Frank R. Weiland, 69 of Atlantic Highlands, NJ entered into eternal life late Thursday evening, November 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Leonardo, Middletown Twp., NJ before moving to Atlantic Highlands in 1979.

Mr. Weiland was a licensed funeral director for 46 years and the owner of Posten's Funeral Home, Atlantic Highlands, NJ. He was a graduate of Monmouth College, West Long Branch, NJ and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asbury Park, NJ. He was a former member of the National Funeral Directors Assoc., the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Assoc., Monmouth & Ocean County Funeral Directors Assoc., board member of the Bay View Cemetery Assoc. Leonardo, the Atlantic Highlands Yacht Club and a member of the Atlantic Highlands Lions Club.

Mr. Weiland was an avid ship and cruise enthusiast and enjoyed many cruises throughout the world.

Mr. Weiland was pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Annie (Clarke) Weiland. He is survived by his husband, Louis G. Hemko, his dog Lane and cousins Ted, Becky, Eileen, Judy & Jacqueline.

Frank's family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Monmouth Medical Center and Healthsouth for their care during his recent illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave. at Central & E. Garfield Ave., Atlantic Highlands on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, at 11 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Way and the Rev. Gail Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to an organization or . Interment services are private and at the convenience of the family members.
