I'm actually stunned to hear this news and extremely saddened. I knew Rocky when his Dad owned Red Bank Electric. I was their bookkeeper. Rocky and I shared a love of music and had great conversations on that subject. He had a great sense of humor and a deep bond with his family. My deepest sympathy to the family for their loss.

Mr. & Mrs. Marswillo & family,
We were in Florida when we heard the news of Rocky's passing and we were deeply saddened. I was so lucky to have Rocky as a friend in high school and for years after that. Even though we lost touch I have often thought of Rocky and considered him my friend. He was a wonderful person who was loved by many! Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and our prayers.

Rocco, Since we met five years ago when you joined the FTPD family, it seemed you always had a smile on your face. You were always a gentleman and a professional. Your physical being will be greatly missed, however your spirit will live long in our hearts. Keep a close eye on your Family, Friends, and Fellow Officers. Thank you Rocco for being you.

Rocky was one of the first people I met in grammer school in Little Silver - we remained friends at Markham Place and Red Bank Regional and when he moved to Maryland. He was a kind hearted man who always looked out for others. I will miss you Rocky.

Rock,
Even though I've only known you for 5 years, and only ridden with you since you joined 'the unit' in June, you've become a friend and partner that'll never be forgotten. If I ever find myself at a loss for a song lyric or movie quote, I know who I'll be thinking of to give it to me. Rocco, a gentle soul, but a true warrior when the streets dictated our actions. I knew you had my back, and I'm sure you will still.
Sleep well, my friend.

Wow.. Im I am so sadden and don't want to believe that once my partner in fighting crime and in coffee runs has past away. My deepist strong heart condolences out to Lt. Joe Marswillo and family.

Rocky was so missed when he left NJIT to Franklin Township Police Department and will be truly missed now even more. He has left us to join our father up in those beautiful blue skies. I would need more then this page to descibe how much of a beautiful person he was. May with God he rest in peace.

I met Rocky when he started with Franklin PD. I was actively riding with the first aid squad and I have to say, he was one of the most helpful officers the department has. He would always stay with the squad while we were on scene and help with various tasks. I had many conversations with him while getting coffee on squad duty or on my way to work. I haven't seen him in a while and I'm sorry he's now gone. But just knowing him, you can tell he came from a good family who cared about him and loved him. I'm sorry for your loss. Rocky will be missed by so many; but we all were very lucky to have known him for whatever length of time. Keep on smiling, Rocky. You are very much loved by all.

I was very deeply saddened to hear of the passing of "Rocky!" I met Rocky while employed with the NJIT Police Department. He and I hit off from the very first day that we met, and we have remained great friends since. We both moved on to the Franklin Township Police Department and we were partners in the Crime Suppresion Unit. Rocky was a very dedicated police officer and even more dedicated to his family and friends. He loved music, movies, motorcycles and his job. I will miss his sense of humor, and his freindship. I have lost a great friend and a brother. He will always be remebered. May he rest in peace. I love you "Rock!"

Rock, my supplier of all things chocolate chip and my Pete and Elda's partner in crime (the XXL will have to wait until we meet again). My memories will all be good ones! I hope that your family finds comfort in knowing that you were one of the good guys - able to make people smile and laugh. You will be missed!

I was shocked & saddened to hear of Rocco's passing. I had the great pleasure of working with him during his (too short) time at FTPD. Rocky was truly one of this world's genuinely nice guys. He will be sorely missed.

Rocco was one of my best friends...and I only have great memories of the times we spent together. He loved being a cop, he loved music and movies, going shooting, and just being around his friends and having fun. We went to College together and became great friends, we became neighbors for some time after that and both got into law enforcement. After I got transferred to Miami, Rocco was one of the few friends that I kept in touch with from New Jersey, and I will never forget him. Rocco's sense of humor was great, and he would always make me and anyone around him laugh and have a great time. Rocky and his family will be in my prayers.
