RALPH ORTON
AGE: 92 MANCHESTER
Ralph Orton, 92, of Manchester, passed away Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mr. Orton was born in Bayonne and lived there most of his life before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester in 1982. Ralph was a noted U.S. rare stamp dealer. He played a key role in organizing the Bayonne Community Day Care Center. He was an avid bowler and fisherman.
He is predeceased by his late grandson, David Orton. Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Estelle; a son and his wife, Barry M. and Marilyn Orton of Madison, Wis.; a daughter and her husband, Joan and Tom Panichella of Avenel; a sister, Eleanor Reisman of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Lauren and Allison Panichella and Joshua Orton.
There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
