Veronica Gest Obituary
AGE: 75 Toms River
Veronica F. Gest, 75, of Toms River, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at the Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville. Veronica was an active member of the Toms River Presbyterian Church, and was involved with the Ocean County Girl Scouts as a Troop Leader and volunteered with many of their activities. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, she moved to the Toms River area in 1968.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne A. Gest. Surviving are her children, Wayne A. Gest and wife Mary of Bayville, Amanda Murray of Cleveland, Ohio, and Warren A. Gest and wife Michelle of Toms River; sisters, Joyce Jendre and husband George of Cleveland, Ohio, and Janice Schultz of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Wayne A. Gest Jr. and wife Melanie, Todd Gest and wife Kim, Jessica Gest, Thomas, James, Christopher, Nora and Fiona Murray, Fletcher and Spencer Gest; and great-grandchildren, Damien and Madison Gest. She was also a dear aunt and friend.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Toms River Presbyterian Church, Hooper Ave. and Chestnut Street, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association, 1160 Route 22 East, Suite 103, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 in her memory would be appreciated. Dear Wayne,Warren,Mandy & family,
We were very saddened by the news of your mom. She was a very special person. The world has lost a true humanitarian. We will never forget the kindness, warmth, and love she shared with us throughout the years. Karen and I always enjoyed her company. She was very witty and always gave us things to laugh about, just like your Dad. It is not too often that you meet someone like your mom in this world. We were sure fortunate to have been given that opportunity. She has made us all better human beings. Our love is always with all of you and your families.
