AGE: 96 • Jackson Twp.

Justin "Tex" Truch, 96, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Tex was the oldest of ten children. He was born to Sophia & Wasyl Truch who immigrated from the Ukraine. Tex served 5 years in the United States Army. He was stationed in the South Pacific where he was in charge of running large generators to keep the camp operational. Tex worked in construction and was self-employed. Tex was very involved with the boy scouts at the V.F.W. Post 4703 in Jackson Twp. where he was also a member. In addition, he was a member of the Millstone ELKS 2613 and the Jackson Seniors. Tex loved to entertain. He had a beautiful voice, and he loved dancing especially square dancing and the polka. While involved with the Jackson Seniors, Tex enjoyed toy land at the senior center at Christmas time along with his wife who was the bird lady. He loved children, especially when he would show them a truck.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Maria Winant of Sea Girt, NJ; his daughter, Carole Priccicante of PA; his brothers & sisters-in-law, John & Nina Truch of Daly City, CA, Andrew & Patricia Truch of Trenton, NJ, and Joseph & Jessie Truch of Cream Ridge, NJ; his sisters & brothers-in-law, Sophia & George Leszchuk of Trenton, NJ, Helen Paszkowski of Trenton, NJ, and Patricia & Charles Grant of Forked River, NJ; his 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 1-4 PM followed with his Funeral Ceremony at 4 PM at THE GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Tex to the V.F.W.
