I will always remember Irv with love. He was like a member of our family. Always enjoyed his visits to our house, his honesty and humor. It was interesting to read his obituary; he truly was a man of substance.

dear all
because you sandy were my first friend, then your dad was my first dad of my friend. i have so many memories from Brookwood and way back on Oak/Murray street. Most involved the wonderful smell and the pipe.. on brookwood, he loved his TV room --i remember it being built. Also the bakers rack with all of his tobaccos.. that i probably shouldn't have been touching. 4 years ago, when your dad was 95, i spoke to him on the phone from your house Sandy. He remembered me, my family and shared stories with me. I will never forget that. I had to smile at gails recollection of him just walking in the house.. no knock. I loved that memory. I also remember the Blankets!..oh the blankets..My heart is with you, i wish i could be in person. I will try to make it up there this spring. I love you..

Dear all,
as you sandy were the first friend, your dad was the first dad of my first friend. i love that his picture has him with his pipe. because that's how i will always see him. i remember 4 years ago i spoke to him on the phone, from your house and he sounded the same as when i was growing up. he remembered me and shared stories with me. i will never ever forget that.. as he was almost 95 then and remembered me like it was yesterday. I had to smile at what gail wrote, as he truly never knocked.. just walked in.. I am sorry that i will miss seeing you at this time.. just know that my heart is there.. I love you all....

Dear Sandy, Francine, Murray and Dorothy: I am truly sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. Irv was quite the character, with pipe in hand and dressed impeccably. My favorite memory...he always just walked in our house. Never knocked or rang the bell. Just walked in and walked through the house until he found someone. May his memory be for a blessing, and may you all be comforted among the mourners of Zion.

In sympathy,
