Robert F. McKenna

AGE: 81 • Holiday City West, Berkeley Twp.

Robert F. McKenna, 81, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twp., NJ, passed away Wednesday, May 07, 2014 at home.

Born in Butler, NJ, he lived in Newfoundland, NJ for 30 years then in Kernersville, NC before moving to Berkeley Twp. 7 years ago.

Robert began his career with New Jersey Bell as a Lineman. He later worked as an Installer/Repairman before retiring from Management after 37 years of service.

He was a US Marine Corp. Korean War Veteran, attaining the rank of Corporal.

Robert was a member of the Holiday City West Clubhouse and was an avid golfer who loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Barbara (nee Mayers), 2 sons Robert McKenna and his wife Tricia of Middletown, NY and Kenneth McKenna of Wayne, NJ, a brother John McKenna of Milanville, PA, a sister Ann Witmore of Butler, NJ and 3 grandchildren Robbie, Patrick, and Brandon.

The family will receive friends Friday 1-5pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Home Care.

Dear Barbara, Robbie, Kenny, John and Annie - I am so very sorry for the loss of "Dutch". I have such fond memories of him, Barbara, Rob and Kenny at Ma's house. He was a good man and I know he will be sorely missed.
