I knew Lisa in Colts Neck when we were stationed at NAD Earle. She lived 2-doors down from us. She and I rode the bus to school together to Elementary school and spent summers at the officer's pool and playing in general. I never told her (or anyone for that matter) but she was my first crush (age 12). She was always so nice and worried about other kids that were having problems in school or being bullied. I remember one day when her Mother was taking a large painting out of her car as I rode by on my bike. I stopped because it was such a lovely painting of Lisa. Her mother said "This is your girlfirend". I guess she knew I liked her. I had Googled Lisa several times before, but this (her obitutuary) is the first time I had found information about her. Not the way I wanted, for sure. I know she is in a good place now. She was such a good person.
