Elizabeth Jones Obituary
AGE: 63 • Manasquan
Elizabeth Harding Jones (63) of Manasquan, NJ passed away June 7, 2017. Liz, or "Dizzy" as she was affectionately known, was generous, kind, loving, strong, and supportive to all those she loved. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii she enjoyed life at the beach, spending time with her children and grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, crafting, swimming, reading, traveling, and, of course, organizing. Liz was a retired art teacher from Howell Township Public Schools, a real estate agent with Diane Turton in Wall, NJ, and a long-time American Red Cross Instructor. Elizabeth was a graduate of Howell Township High School with the Class of 1972 before attending Georgian Court University to earn her Baccalaureate degree in Art Education in 1980 and her Master's in Special Education in 1999. Liz is survived by her long-term significant other, Michael Gunther, her two sons, Colin and Ryan, their wives, Heather and Lisa, her grandchildren, Adia and Leo, her siblings William, Virginia, and Victoria, and her nieces and nephews Dee, LaKeshia, Steven, Keith, Devan, David, Justyce, Jada, Dionna, Isaiah, and Lydia. As per Elizabeth's wishes, a graveside service will be held at the family plot in Petersburg, Virginia and a celebration of life will be held for family, friends, and coworkers on June 20th from 6pm-10pm at River Rock Restaurant in Brick NJ 08724.

So sorry to hear of her passing.
When I started working at Howell in Greibling Liz was the art teacher here. She would always apologize for the messy room and I would say if it wasn't for everyone making a mess I wouldn't have a job. She always made me feel comfortable working here when I started. She had a beautiful smile all the time.

So sorry for your loss everyone. I knew Ms. Jones a long time. From Candlewood Swim Club days as a child. I remember riding to swim meets in the car with Ryan. I knew her as my swim coach and sometimes as my grade school art teacher. Heart goes out to the Jones family and my pop who cared for her very much... tough time, but help each other get through it. Remember the good stuff.

I was a Night Head at Griebling school where she teached Art. It was always a joy to talk to her and see the wonderful work she would do decorating the lobby. At Christmas the beautiful posters for the concerts were amazing. It's never been the same since she retired. She is missed.
