Geraldine McGowan (Jeri) Blumenthal age 84 passed suddenly on December 9, 2017 at her home in Branford, CT. Jeri was born and raised in Jersey City NJ and lived in Florida, Allendale, NJ, Avon, CT and Branford, CT. Beloved mother of Mark Rossi, Michael Rossi, Lisa Blumenthal and Matthew (Jill-Ann) Blumenthal; cherished grandmother of Zachary and Sasha Trejo and Jake and Danielle Blumenthal. She is survived by her loving sister Maureen McGowan of Toms River and Sarasota, FL. Predeceased by brothers Thomas and James McGowan and her parents James McGowan Sr and Geraldine (Osborne) McGowan. Jeri worked as a model, in hospitality, and in sales and in recent years was a companion to elderly and disabled. She volunteered her time to many charitable organizations; including past president of B'nai B'rith and most recently seniors helping seniors. Her many interests/activities included tennis, painting, music, theater and opera. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Diabetes Association 1160 Rt #22E, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 . Visitation is Friday 10-12 PM with a 12 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester; with interment to follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
