Ruth Froehlich (nee Neher) 91, of Bayville, N.J passed away peacefully on January 29th at Community Medical Center in Toms River N.J.

Ruth was born in Newark, NJ and graduated from Union High School. After graduation, she worked for Standard Oil.

She was married to her husband, Frederick (Fred), for 53 years. They lived in Summit, NJ for 38 years where they raised their five children, Ruth was a wonderful homemaker. Once their children were grown, she worked at Fairleigh Dickinson University as telecommunication specialist. They retired to Sonata Bay Club in Bayville, NJ in the early 1990's.

Ruth loved art, photography, playing Bridge, Mahjong and Canasta. She was a member of St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, The Rosary Society, The Red Hats and The Caregivers of Sonata Bay. She loved her community and her friends.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed going out to dinner, loved walking the boardwalk and watching the waves. She was a kind, compassionate and loving person and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons; Frederick Froehlich of Whippany, NJ, Robert Froehlich and companion Janet of Brick, NJ, James Froehlich and wife Cherri of Warren, NJ. Her daughter; Betty Greabener and husband Lawrence of Middlesex, NJ. Her grandchildren; Adria Bogosian and husband Scott, Erin Greabener, Daniel Froehlich and Hilary Boothby and husband Adam and great grandchildren Derek, Justin and Dakota. She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Gertrude Neher, her husband Frederick and son Timothy.

Visitation will be at Mastapeter Funeral Home 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ on Sunday, February 3rd from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. A Mass will be held in her honor on Monday, February 4th at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Rd. Bayville, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Theresa's Cemetery in Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Bayville First Aid Squad would be appreciated.
