William McAvoy Obituary
Middletown - William M. McAvoy, 62, of Middletown, died in an accident April 6.
He was a 1976 graduate of Mater Dei High School and also attended Brookdale Community College.
He was employed by the IRS for 25 years, and after that by Kohl's in Middletown.
Bill leaves his sister, Patricia Spalletta, brother-in-law Robert, niece Olivia, nephews Ron and Paul, cousins Barry McAvoy, Maureen McDonald, James McAvoy, and Eileen Stafsberg, as well as great-niece and nephews Signe, Atlas, and Johannes.
If you would like to honor Bill's memory, do someone a kindness, stop to pet a dog, or take a friend to a really good movie.
Services will be private and are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

I shared many chats with Walter, Sr., Shirley and Walter, Jr., while delivering their mail. Young Walter was so knowledgeable in the movie genre. I am comforted in the belief that they are together again in God´s hands.

I have the sweetest memories of our SMS and MD experience. Bill will always be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. I was also impressed with his "professional" enthusiasm for education too. Heaven has a new accountant. Sending prayers for William and his family.
