William James (Billy) Ormsby, 62, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2015 at his home in Ocean Park, Washington, where he had been a resident for the past 17 years.
Billy was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to Pleasant Grove, California with his family when he was 4 years old. Billy attended Pleasant Grove Elementary School and graduated from East Nicolaus High School, Class of 1970.
A Union Ironworker by trade and member of Local 118, Billy enjoyed "booming out", working in Alaska, California, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. Billy loved the ocean and took daily runs on the beach with his dog. He was a talented wood worker and a motorcycle enthusiast.
Billy is preceded in death by his father James Ormsby and his brother Edward Ormsby.
He is survived by his wife Renee Ormsby and stepson Trevin Henkske of Caldwell, Idaho; mother Lois Ormsby Beck of Wheatland, California; brother Scott Ormsby and wife Marsha of Rio Oso, California; sister Dorothy Ormsby Howard and husband Arlin of Rio Oso, California; nieces Bren Ormsby, Kelley Tracy, Kerry Kelley, and Kelsey Howard; nephews Shawn Ormsby, Kristopher Keeney, and Trey Howard; eleven great nieces and nephews; and two great nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 23, 2015 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Howsley Road & Pacific Avenue, Pleasant Grove, California.

I remember Billy, as we called him, so vividly in High School. He always seemed to be smiling. Maybe that's why the girls thought he was so cute. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
