Felton James White, 72, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at home in Plumas Lake. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, daughter, Danielle White-Flewellyn and her husband, Brad and son, Ellington, and daughter, Monique White.
Felton was born in Beaumont, Texas July 31, 1944, to Felix and Willie Mae White. He graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He retired after thirty years as a sheet metal journeyman, having worked on many high profile projects in Seattle, Washington and the Bay Area.
Felton had a positive impact on many in his life, mentoring family members, friends, and young people. He had a very competitive spirit, which lead to him excelling in swimming, biking, fishing, basketball, and bowling. He also enjoyed photography, traveling, and being with his family and friends.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Kyle's Temple AME Zion Church, 2940 42nd Street, Sacramento with a Celebration of Life reception to follow at 1390 Meadow Ranch Street, Plumas Lake at 2:00 pm.
He will be remembered as a caring and loving soul.
