Mary Patricia Estrada, a lifelong resident of Colusa, CA, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Valley West Care Home on November 17, 2017. She was born in Colusa, CA, on January 12, 1927, to Joe and Belen Torres.
Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, The Women of the Moose, volunteered at the voting polls during elections, assistant Den Mother for the local Cub Scout troop, loving wife to her late husband George and devoted mother to her children.
She enjoyed cooking, being outside working in her yard, her novellas, music and most of all spending time with family. Her family was very important to her and she devoted herself wholeheartedly to them.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Rita Marie Estrada of Colusa, CA; son, Mike Estrada of San Francisco, CA; brother, Albert Torres of Williams, CA; grandchildren, Lesa Dowden; Greg Dowden; great-grandchild, Ashley Dowden; and numerous nieces and nephews that she adored.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, of 57 years until his passing in 2001; daughter, Patricia Grant in 2011; and siblings, Joe; Alfred; Raymond; Esther; Helen; Emily; and Gladys.
Mary's strength throughout life was truly amazing. She was the rock to many in her family and loved by all that met her and her smile will always be remembered. She is greatly missed and forever in our hearts
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
