Anton Richard Mardesich, 80, our beloved husband, father, and Papa, passed away January 24, 2021 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born on January 10,a 1941 in Everett, WA to Peter and Winifred Mardesich.
When he was 3 years old his father died in a tragic accident. His mother then moved he and his sister to the home of his grandparents in Cupertino, CA. Anton attended Riordan High School in San Francisco, CA.
After gradation he attended Monterey JC for 2 years and then enlisted into the Navy.
~After he returned home, he met the love of his life, Joan Garcia. They were married in 1963. They moved to Gridley, CA. where he farmed with his family for 58 years.
Anton was an active member in Live Oak Lions, Gridley Rotary Club, Gridley Loyal Order of the Moose, and a member of Peach Tree Country Club.
As his grandchildren would say, this is how I REMEMBER MY PAPA:
(Maddi): What's up smiley. (Mason): Sorry for all the holes in your office. (Hayden): I love that kid's smile. (Alex): Loved flying with you Papa. (Davis): Papa where are my donuts. (Parker): You want some of this. (Caroline): Pack a lunch little girl you want a knuckle sandwich. (Ally): Thanks for always making me think I was your favorite. (Elizabeth): Hey shortstack.
Anton is survived by his wife of 58 years Joan Mardesich. Children: Antonine Brosious (Chris), Jeff Mardesich (Brooke), Jill Stephens (Danny). Grandchildren: Hayden and Parker Brosious; Madison, Mason, Davis, and Ally Mardesich; Alexandra, Caroline, and Elizabeth Stephen. As well as his sister Helen Schoen.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Hudson Brosious.
