Antonio "Tony" Cavazos Obituary

Antonio Cavazos (Tony), 77, died unexpectedly on December 17, 2017.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Cavazos, his sons; Anthony, 54, Daniel, 52, daughter, Julie, 44, grandchildren; Korinna, Daniel, and Amanda, great-grandchildren; Damien and Dominic, daughters in-law; Rose Cavazos and Erin Mclaughlin, and his beloved brothers; Joe and Arturo Cavazos.

Born in Mission, Texas, Tony settled down in the Yuba Sutter area in 1958, where he graduated from Live Oak High School in 1960, and married his High School sweetheart, Janice, in October, 1962. He retired after 25 years as an account executive from AT&T.

Tony was an avid golfer and former board member of Plumas Lake Golf and Country Club. He loved spending time with family, friends, staying physically active, music, gardening, enjoying authentic Mexican food, and trips to the Reno/Tahoe area as well as local casinos.

He was an advocate for those less fortunate, and approached every day with a smile and laughter contagious to everyone with whom he came in contact. He will be missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 2017, 11:00 am, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City. A viewing will be Thursday, December 21st, 2017, from 5-8pm, Rosary at 6pm, at Lakeside Colonial Chapel, 830 D Street, Marysville.
