Arthur Morris McCoy, 94, of Arbuckle, Ca, passed away on October 7, 2016. He was the husband of his darling wife, Alma Ree McCoy.

Arthur was born in Checotah, Ok. on June 14th, 1922, to Loren Bell McCoy and Lora Kate McCoy (Guthrie). On August 13th, 1942, he married his sweetheart, Alma Ree Stanphill. Together they shared 74 joyous years of marriage.

He was a World War II veteran. He was inducted into the U.S. Army, November 24th, 1942. He served as 1st Sergeant of the (A) Company, 275th Regiment, 70th Infantry Division. He was honourably discharged December 11th, 1945. On December 31st, 1945 he began working for Gulf Oil, where he was employed for 38 years, retiring in 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Ree McCoy of Arbuckle, Ca. Son, Arthur M McCoy Jr. (Virginia) of Baltimore, MD. daughter-in-law, Revonda McCoy (wife of Larry McCoy) of College City, Ca. Son, Roger D McCoy (Carolyn) of Calera, OK. 21 grandchildren and spouses. 34 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Alfred J McCoy, of Oroville, Ca, and a host of cousins, neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Loren Bell and Lora Kate McCoy, brothers and sisters, Sammy Lloyd, Lula May, Eddy Burr, James Vestal, Wesley Earl, Fanny Beulah, Lora Bell, Sarah Ola Jane, Laura Edith and Luther. Son, Larry Wayne McCoy, and Grandson, Loren Bell McCoy II.

Arthur McCoy was unwaveringly faithful to his commitment to Christ from his youth. His life of integrity was a blessing, and an exemplary model, to all who had the honor of knowing him. He leaves a legacy of wisdom, love and personal holiness that has already impacted generations, and will continue to do so for years to come.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at 11 am. at Arbuckle Christian Fellowship, 702 Hall St., Arbuckle, Ca. With interment at the College City Cemetery. Reception immediately following graveside service at Arbuckle Fire Hall, 506 Lucas St.
