Bethel Rose Butler Obituary

Bethel Rose Butler was a very strong and independent Rio Oso walnut grower who lived in the area all of her 82 years. Born May 26, 1933, she passed away suddenly March 9, 2016, in Marysville, CA.

Born in her parent's, Rose and Elmer Renner's, home in Rio Oso in 1933, she had one brother, Ronnie Renner, who passed away way too early in 1961. Her last place of employment from which she retired was the Reclamation District #1001. She was passionate and conservative and in her younger years she was an avid golfer and more recently loved playing dominos with her girlfriends. She will be profoundly missed.

She was survived by her daughter, Robin (Bruce) Bonfils; two granddaughters, Lindsay Rose Kirst and Hannah Noelle Bonfils; Bruce's sons, Noah and Leif Bonfils; and a host of many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Elmer Renner and her brother, Ronald Renner.

A Catholic Mass service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Church, 1045 Marcum Road, Nicolaus, CA. A reception is to immediately follow at the Parish Hall across the street. Arrangements are under the direction Chapel of Twin Cities & Crematory, (530) 673-4360.
