Charles "Charlie" Felix Obituary

Charles "Charlie" Felix, 85 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 21, 2017 in Northern California. He was born on June 14, 1932 and lived most of his life in Los Angeles before moving to Northern California ten years ago.

Charlie worked as a machinist for Wiggins Metal Fabricators in Los Angeles for 32 years producing parts for the Aerospace industry and retired in 2002. He was a US Army Veteran who served with distinction from October 12, 1952 – October 28, 1954 during the Korean War. He earned two Bronze Stars for Meritorious Service as a result of two tours in combat.

Charlie is pre-deceased by his parents and two brothers David and Edmund.

He is survived by his companion of 20 years Isabel Macias, his daughter Mary Helen Bautista, grandchildren Gabriel, Matthew and Ala, sisters Sara Padilla and Carmen Molina and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was a kind hearted and loving man, who loved to travel with the family, was an avid sports fan and always participated in holiday cheer. Charlie spent his free time at the Moose Lodge #454 in Olivehurst, California, where he will be missed by many friends especially Rusty. He also was a familiar face at the Moose Lodge in La Habra and Torrance in Southern California.

Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Holycross Funeral Home, 486 Bridge Street, Yuba City, CA 95991.

Graveside Services will be Friday, January 12, 2018 11:00 am at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA 95620. A reception to follow the graveside service, location TBD.
